Project description
As part of the project, the customer's current manual logistics processing was subjected to a brief analysis. Various measures were developed and subsequently evaluated. The client's main objective was to review the current logistics processes and identify potential courses of action in order to create a solid foundation for the introduction of a new ERP system.
The GCS team of consultants analyzed the warehouse process, identified weak points and evaluated these using common practices and key figures. The identified potentials included the adaptation of existing and the introduction of alternative picking methods for different order types, the organization of different warehouse areas and locations, the functional expansion of existing systems, as well as organizational measures with regard to personnel organization.
