Project description:
In this project, the customer faced the challenge of future-proofing its processes for managing the flow of goods and finished goods inventories in the coming years - particularly with regard to volume growth and the requirements of e-commerce.
The GCS consultants used the tried-and-tested GCS methodology to record the existing processes and identify possible weaknesses and optimization potential with regard to various future scenarios. As a result, in addition to an IT concept of the future for the necessary system support, an optimized space/warehouse concept and a modernized operating concept with options for dynamic, flexible personnel deployment planning were developed and subsequently implemented together with the customer.
